OPEN FORUM
Two members of the public were present. Concern was expressed by one of the parishioners over proposals for a car park to serve the Community Hall should its construction go ahead. It has been suggested that a car park with a capacity of over 40 cars would be needed. For comparison the car park would be larger than that at the Avon Inn. This, the parishioner suggested, would be more appropriate in an urban environment than in a village like Avonwick. Cllr. Grevatt informed the meeting that the Community Hall group are aware of such concerns and are discussing measures that might be adopted to alleviate them. He told the meeting that no decisions had been made as yet.
Concern was also raised over the increased traffic flow on Bow Hill and the speed of vehicles using that road.
PRESENT
Councillors Bell, Gabriel, Grevatt, Hunt, Luscombe and District and Parish Councillor Steer.

County Councillor Vint and Councillor Seager-Berry

District Councillor Steer informed the Council that despite the planning department refusing permission for a new wind turbine at Foales Leigh Farm the request had been granted approval by the government inspector. He also told the Council of proposals for new housing developments at Kingsbridge and Ivybridge. Cllr. Steer informed the Council of the recent appointment of Cllr. Smerdon as chairman and Cllr.
