OPEN FORUM
Concern had been raised over the parking of a vehicle on the road outside Jubilee Cottages, Avonwick. Action clerk.
The loud music coming from the Avonwick Inn during special events had been the cause of complaints. Cllr. Steer to follow up. It was also suggested that the Inn could be asked to keep the Council informed of upcoming special events
Horse riders in North Huish had told councillors of the refusal of their horses to pass a particular van parked in the village. Cllr. Hunt to follow this up.
It was reported that, after inspection, it had been decided to remove the wooden posts from the earth mound in the playpark. The posts had been found to be rotten at the base and could not be easily repaired.
SWWA had completed the work to the water pipe under the River at Horsebrook.
Cllr. Steer gave a report on the recent leaks to the main water pipe through Avonwick. It was reported that funding is now available to replace this old system with a new one.

Councillors Bell, Gabriel, Grevatt, Hunt, Luscombe, Seager-Berry and District and Parish Councillor Steer.
MATTERS ARISING
The problems with rubbish collection have been dealt with. The area of knotweed near the Old Bridge crossroad in Avonwick has been treated. Highways considered this area to be causing a hazard to road users. The other areas of knotweed are being left to grow. The clerk is waiting on information from SHDC concerning the insurance of the playpark. Cllr. Steer to follow up.
REPORTS
Cllr. Steer reported that the planning department was to consider an application for 92 houses to be built at Lee Mill. A new drainage system at Sherford was also being considered. Cllr. Steer put considerable time and effort into dealing with the problems of waste collection within the parish. He believes that they are now sorted.
PLANNING:
1) The Council had opposed the request for retrospective planning approval at Coombe House. It was reported that this application has now been withdrawn.
2) Request for an agricultural building at Lower Greenslade Farm – approved.
3) Request for additional living space at 2 Horsebrook Barn – approved.
FINANCE:

HIGHWAYS:
Telecom cover near Woodland Barton reported to be in a dangerous condition. Action clerk.
