District Councillor Pannell reported that the District Council, having received information regarding its financial settlement from the Government, is now able to set its Council Tax rate for the year 2020-2021. This will be 2% higher than the present year. Cllr. Pannell told the council that the Chief Executive of SHDC will be moving on to a new position.
Cllr Luscombe reported on her recent play park inspection. The welcome sign will need replacing soon, the swing seat is slightly split – no attention needed at present. The gates are swollen and not closing properly – it is thought that this will improve when the weather gets a little less wet.
